Frequently asked questions
What kind of work suits a 20ft dual-temperature reefer?
Caterers, farm shops, and food distributors get chilled and frozen storage in one container instead of two. The unit holds both temperatures at once.
How do the two temperature zones work?
A bulkhead inside the box divides it into two zones, and each zone gets its own temperature setting. Run chilled on one side and frozen on the other, or match both zones when your needs shift.
What are the dimensions, and what can it hold?
The footprint is 20ft by 8ft, with about 150 square feet of insulated floor. Divided between the two zones, that's room for several pallets of mixed chilled and frozen stock.
What power supply does the unit need?
The refrigeration unit runs on a 3-phase supply. Where 3-phase utility is not on site, a correctly sized diesel generator (genset) can power it instead.
How does the dual-temperature reefer get delivered and placed?
We deliver on a tilt-bed truck, where the bed tilts and the container slides off at ground level. That usually means no crane or forklift. We check your site access beforehand, and a tight or wide site may still call for a crane.
